where is thy sting?

no, not really about my mortality, just that in these last few months i seemed to have gone from 42 to 75, with little help from the hmo that looks over my health...

long story short(ish):

upper right arm pain, and i am thinking it's a pulled muscle grows to useless dinosaur arm and after a few weeks this pain spreads to upper back and other arm, so i call it in and after a scary round of phone interviews i'm ordered in thinking i'm having a heart attack, but no, it all seems to be a pinched nerve. not sure. phys therapy ordered.

blood pressure, coincidently, is high that day at the emergency room. hmmm...

2 tabs of 600 miligrams a day, seven days later and my new physical therapist asks if any x-rays have been done, and i say no, and he says (repeating something my sister-the surgical tech said) 'wha?' and orders a round of see-throughs that day.

manage to pop a something in my leg walking the roommates dog with my daughter, so i'm also limping around to boot.

the pain from his session of body work also sends the lunch out of me. pain so severe i can't drive much. no one can tell me quite what i have. i now am talking to the pain.

more motrin for a week turning my stomach,, i'm not sleeping much due to pain, i'm seeing fleeting things out of my eye corners. wrong medication also detected (blood pressure med not for 'nerve swelling' i'm told by hmo specialist).

catch a cold for a week. constant pain now feels like fever. leg is better. i just want to know what is wrong with my arms and upper back.

spend half a week nursing daughter (cold) followed by weekend nursing girlfriend in san fran (cold). pain is my new friend.

go to new doc specialist for 2nd time, checked x-rays, guess what?

no nerve pinched. i have upper spine arthritis. much run around could have been avoided if x-rays had been done sooner. sorry. here's more meds.

nothing can be done for arthritis, except for pain meds. pain IS my new friend.

acupuncture sounds good right about now.
