so i was working in a trendy, lousy little silverlake bakery one fifth of may when in runs a customer and yells

"happy cinco de mayo" at me

i pause, look at him and say back

"happy channukah"

he looks equally displeased and confused, saying

"i'm not jewish"

to which i say

"i'm not mexican"
